Bitcoin will not repeat the stagnation of 2014 of the year

Bitcoin correction in 2018 will not repeat the scenario four years ago due to significant changes in the market structure. This assumption was made by cryptocurrency analyst and investor Willy Woo, writes NewsBTC.

In 2014, Bitcoin experienced the deepest decline in its entire history - after losing 90% of the value of the cryptocurrency, it remained at low price positions for a long time.

Willy Wu noted that the correction was aggravated by the hacking and the bankruptcy of the Mt.Gox cryptocurrency exchange. At that time, the platform handled up to 90% bitcoin transactions, without having the proper security systems. Therefore, it is not surprising that the collapse of the exchange led to the “stagnation” of the first cryptocurrency.

At the moment, according to the expert, leading cryptocurrency companies offer more and more solutions for the safety and comfort of institutional investors in the market.

In particular, the other day Vice President Coinbase Adam White published a list of basic principles by which the company's services for institutional investors work. The new products will bring Coinbase closer to an open financial system, he said.

“Overall, Bitcoin 2018 is much healthier than Bitcoin 2014,” said Willy Woo.
