In total, researchers examined 28 cryptocurrencies, which were evaluated according to criteria such as "technology", "application" and "innovation."

Ethereum, despite the high marks on three points, became the absolute leader only in the field of "application".

The second place was Steem cryptocurrency - the Chinese authorities estimated the number of transactions processed on the platform of the same name.

The third and fourth places were taken by Lisk and NEO respectively, the top five was locked by the Komodo cryptocurrency.

At the same time, Bitcoin shared a place with 13 along with Verge. Researchers paid tribute to the first cryptocurrency as a pioneer in the world of digital assets, giving it the highest rating for innovativeness, but found “digital gold” weak in terms of technology.

Ethereum Classic, Ripple, Dash, Litecoin and NEM did not score enough points for inclusion in the main rating and took the place from 16 to 28.

Recall the plans of the Chinese authorities to compile rating cryptocurrency became known last week.
