Poloniex customers complain about freezing accounts

Many users who patronized the Poloniex crypto exchange in the past complain that their accounts have been frozen. Complaints that even those users who were able to successfully verify their account automatically still cannot trade or access their funds have been accumulating on social networks and forums for several days.

Back in December, 2017, the cryptocurrency trading platform, Poloniex announced that all users, especially those transferred from old accounts, must verify their identity to the 1 quarter of the 2018 year. Shortly after the exchange announced this demand, reports began to appear in the press that Circle Financial was trying to buy a crypto-exchange, but Poloniex representatives refused to buy it. Then, several months later in February, it was discovered that Circle Financial officially acquired Poloniex and that this company is now in business. Many people believe that the requirements for checking accounts on Poloniex were related to the acquisition of Circle, because the company based in Boston is very committed to regulatory policies such as AML / KYC laws. This week, many Poloniex customers faced account freezing problems due to the need to verify their identity.

If a user wants to trade or withdraw funds, and his account is frozen, then a special notification is shown, but this warning appears even to those users who have sent their identification data.

There are many complaints about the review process on the Reddit forum under the Poloniex thread. One Reddit user PauleeWorli explains that he still cannot access his account even after completing the automated verification process.

Reddit also has a lot of messages from cryptobirds clients explaining that they encountered problems on the Poloniex platform after passing through the verification procedure. On Twitter, many Poloniex customers also complain about freezing accounts.

Despite numerous posts on Reddit and Twitter from customers, there are currently no official statements on either the Poloniex Twitter page, Reddit forums or the website itself regarding account freeze issues.
