We reviewed 10 recognized crypto wallets and tried to convert in each Ethereum в Bitcointo compare transaction speed, conversion rate, and financial result of an exchange transaction.
Looking back at the early days of the advent of digital currency, we see that the situation has changed a lot. Meeting the needs of a growing number of crypto users, crypto wallet providers offer many features that make it easy to store, execute transactions and convert virtual coins. Such a variety can turn the choice of a personal crypto wallet into a challenge.
To simplify this task, we selected 10 recognized crypto-wallets and spent some time trying each of them to convert crypto-money! Our goal was to convert Ethereum to bitcoins.
Our review draws attention to criteria such as transaction speed, conversion rate and financial result of an exchange transaction.
Atomic Wallet
Offering both desktop and mobile apps, Atomic Wallet offers private keys with user data stored on their side. The interface is very convenient.
Our wallet exchange transaction took 14 minutes. At the same time, we received exactly the same amount that we were promised at the evaluation stage.
Coinomi
A popular multicurrency wallet, Coinomi also provides access to private keys and supports both desktop and mobile platforms. Using the recovery phrase, you can recover Coinomi data. The crypto wallet boasts a wide range of coins with support for more than 125 blockchains. Coinomi offers currency exchange through the services of Changelly and Coinswitch, which you can choose.
We decided to make an exchange through Coinswitch because of a more favorable rate. Our Coinomi transaction lasted 21 minutes. The amount received was slightly lower than the estimated (0,00467053 BTC against the estimated 0,00485326 BTC)
Edge Wallet
Another multi-currency mobile wallet is Edge Wallet, which allows you to exchange paper money in crypto. It is also possible to manually obtain ERC-20 tokens, which were not previously supported by Edge. Advanced user privacy is a well-known advantage of the wallet.
It took Edge only a minute to complete my transaction. The amount received was equal to the promised.
Enjin
Founded in 2009, Enjin is a system that integrates the marketplace, gaming platform and mobile wallet for iOS and Android. Enjin supports transactions with crypto coins and tokens. In addition to ERC-20 tokens, Enjin Wallet supports ERC-721 and ERC-1155 assets. Enjin offers a way to use the options of the selected Dapps without leaving the secure wallet.
Our exchange with Enjin put me on a 32-minute wait, but the result of my financial transaction was almost in line with the estimate.
Exodus
Exodus is a well-known wallet that allows you to exchange multiple currencies without the need for registration. It is compatible with Windows, Linux, Android and Apple devices. The platform supports over 100 coins as well as tokens and provides a very simple user experience.
Our currency conversion operation through Exodus took 26 minutes. As a result, we received exactly the same amount that we were promised at the evaluation stage.

Freewallet
Available as a desktop solution and mobile wallet, Freewallet provides access to more than 100 coins and tokens. Moreover, quite a lot of coins can be purchased with a credit card. The wallet is protected by a mandatory PIN code, as well as a whole set of security parameters that you can choose yourself (2FA, multisig, fingerprint). In addition, along with a universal currency wallet, the company provides applications for a single currency for large coins.
The result of our exchange transaction arrived in just one minute with an amount slightly less than expected.
Guarda
Using a multi-cryptocurrency wallet Guarda, you can manage your assets from any device (Android or Apple, Ubuntu, Windows). Guarda opens access to more than 40 blockchains and more than 10.000 tokens.
Instant exchange Guarda allows you to convert currencies without the need for registration and verification. Our Guarda wallet user experience has so far been smooth.
Our exchange transaction with Guarda was processed within 19 minutes. The amount received was slightly lower than we expected according to estimates.
Huobi
Huobi Group product, decentralized application HuobiWallet, can work on devices with iOS and Android. At the time of writing, it supports 100 coins and ERC20, EOS, ONT tokens. You can buy various coins using not only bank cards, but also Google / Apple Pay. Digital Asset Management (DAM) services are available in the wallet as an additional feature. To confirm the exchange transaction with the wallet, you will need a security password.
Our exchange transaction lasted 28 minutes, the financial result was 7% lower than the calculated one.
Infinite
Infinito Wallet is another decentralized mobile wallet for asset management across a wide range of blockchains. Infinito is also a brand name for the payment service. The wallet can only be used with mobile devices and can be downloaded from the AppStore or Google Play. The in-app sharing solution is supported by Changelly.
Infinito processed our transaction for 23 minutes. The amount received was 7% lower than expected.
Jaxx
Created in 2014 by Anthony Diorio, co-founder of the Ethereum network, Jaxx is a safe place to store and work with your digital coins. You can restore your wallet access with a recovery phrase.
Our exchange operation with Jaxx took 24 minutes, and we were able to update our balance only by logging in from another device. Our final amount was 7% lower than the estimated amount.
Hack and predictor Aviator
About half of the wallets in our trial test took a little more than 20 minutes to complete the cross-conversion. In this case, the final amount varied with a loss of 3-7% compared with the expected amount of the transaction. Exodus and Enjin were a happy exception, but it took us about half an hour to process our exchange transaction with them.
The best prices can be found with Jaxx and Infinito. However, the amount of fees spent reduced the financial result, which is otherwise possible with such rates.
Edge and Freewallet apps showed better performance, although their conversion rates were not among the most profitable. Finally, we got amounts that were very close or equal to those we saw in the valuation window. This makes both crypto-wallets a good choice for your crypto plans for 2020 and, most likely, for a longer time ahead.
