General description and relevance
The utility is specially designed for video cards of the series GTX 1080 и 1080 GTX Ti... Its goal is to increase the hash rate during the mining of cryptocurrencies running on the Ethash algorithm. The program can be installed on Linux and Windows.
The main feature of the tablet (as the developer himself called the utility) is that it is able to overclock the GPU timings in real time, this gives up to 50 MH / s on 1080 Ti and up to 40 megahashes per second on GTX 1080. you get about 45 MH / s and 35 MH / s, respectively, with significantly less power consumption. The program can work both with Ethereum and with other cryptocurrencies running on the Dagger Hashimoto algorithm. One such example is the new mining algorithm Verthash, which was recently forked by VertCoin (VTC). This is a high memory algorithm that, like Ethash, can get better hash rates with optimized timings, so running OhGodAnETHlargementPill will give you some extra performance.
Note that when using a miner PhoenixMiner, this utility is not required. The program already has a command -straps 2 that allows you to achieve similar results. The same function is in the miner Nbminer... In it to increase the power, i.e. to overclock the GPU, you can use the –mt command.
Please note that the NiceHash client is already bundled with this utility. So if you want to use this miner, then you do not need to download the tablet separately.
Instructions for installing and running the OhGodAnETHlargementPill utility
Download and unzip the archive to any folder on your PC or mining rig
Turn off the miner, start ohgodanethlargementpill-r2.exe, turn on the miner. The program will run in the background along with the miner, do not close it.
For convenience, you can put the program shortcut to startup:
