Stellar Development Foundation (SDF, a non-profit organization founded in 2014 by Jed McCaleb (co-founder of Ripple and his former CTO) and Joyce Kim to “support the development and growth of the open-source star network”, announced Monday (September 9) that he partnered with Keybase for “The Biggest Airdrop”.

The project offers an end-to-end encrypted chat and cloud storage system called Keybase Chat and File System respectively. Files hosted on the public part of the file system are served from the public endpoint as well as locally from the file system mounted by the Keybase client.
Keybase is available online and is available as a downloadable application for Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android.

Keybase is a free, secure alternative to Slack, WhatsApp, Telegram and other chat apps. It supports large and small groups, communities and teams. Inside Keybase, all chats are fully encrypted. SDF reports that it plans to issue up to two billion XLM, that is, 20 million XLM per month, to “authenticated” Keybase users over the next 100 months.
The company says that in order to join this program, you need to:
- Account; as well as
- msgid "minimum 3 key installations (or paper keys)".
If your Keybase account has not been registered before this announcement, you need to connect your Keybase account to a GitHub or HackerNews account, which is “fairly old,” that is, registered before this announcement.

The SDF also notes that airdropAirdrop is a type of marketing strategy that involves sending multiple tokens or coins to crypto wallet addresses in exchange for completing small tasks, such as posting a message on social media. This is usually done to raise awareness... "will run for at least 3 months, with subsequent months dependent on key indicators of program success."
According to CryptoCompare , Stellar Lumens (XLM), Stellar's native token, is trading (07: 14 UTC on 10 September) for about $ 0,0605:
