Storm Play is using blockchain to “empower the global workforce.” Storm Play allows users to earn STORM tokens, bitcoins, and ether for trying out games, products, services, and other microtasks – similar to the Amazon Mechanical Turk program.
The Storm Play Platform combines Storm Makers and Storm Players. Storm Makers includes sellers, advertisers, and companies that are looking for freelancers to perform tasks at various levels. The structure of Storm Players includes consumers, viewers and freelancers who perform these tasks.
Storm has a built-in reward book system called bolts. Jobs performed by Storm players are awarded bolts. These tokens can be exchanged for STORM tokens or sold and exchanged for other cryptocurrencies.
Since Storm Tokens is compatible with all ERC20 token cryptocurrency wallets, they can be stored in hardware wallets, such as Trezor or Ledger, as well as in cloud wallets, such as MyEtherWallet and MetaMask.
The long-awaited launch of iOS
Until now, Storm Play was only available via Android and made iOS users wait almost a year. A recent announcement shows that Storm Play is now finally available on iOS.
CryptoSlate turned to Storm CEO Simon Y. for comments. He said the following about the launch:
“It took longer than we expected, but we are happy to launch our iOS platform. We started in 2014, and the environment was very similar. Immediately after Mt. People in Goks and the Silk Road were afraid to buy Bitcoin, but the technology was still very interesting. Our platform (Storm Play) allows people around the world to access cryptocurrency without risking their money. This includes 1.7B people who currently do not have a bank account, and it’s very interesting to be able to connect to a new group of people. ”
Potential rewards
To celebrate the launch, Storm is tweeting for those who want to try Storm Play. The planned campaign promises 10 000 dollars, delivered to BTC, STORM or ETH, the lucky winner if they are willing to jump over some social networks.
So far, Storm has made some tangible progress in terms of gaining market recognition. After attracting more than 30 million US dollars in its ICO in December 2017, the company made significant progress in improving its application and expanding its user base.
The simple premise around Storm Play is attractive, and the campaign will probably highlight this. Already having 2,4 million downloads and 250 000 active users, Storm continues to gain popularity in the bear market.
The future looks promising for Storm, or at least according to CIOReview in "20 is the most promising suppliers of blockchain solutions 2018 of the year."
