Twitter will ban advertising cryptocurrency after Google and Facebook

Twitter's social media platform is preparing to ban advertisements related to cryptocurrency and ICO, with the exception of some products.

Twitter, against the backdrop of upcoming regulatory intervention in the cryptosector, will follow the example of platforms such as Facebook and Google. Companies have reported that they will restrict advertising of financial products and services due to concerns about illegal activities.

It is expected that the new advertising policy Twitter will be implemented within two weeks. The media platform will ban advertising of primary placements of coins (ICO), tokens and cryptocurrency wallets around the world. Twitter also plans to ban the promotion of cryptocurrency exchanges, with some exceptions.

Recall that in January Facebook announced that it would ban advertising banners promoting financial products and services that are associated with misleading or fraudulent activities. In March, Google received an announcement that the company would also begin to restrict cryptocurrency advertising and related content, including ICO, cryptocurrency exchanges, wallets and consulting services.
