Bitmain S17 - Launch of new ASIC miners

According to the press release published Today, the leading cryptographic equipment manufacturer Bitmain has finally launched its long-awaited ASIC miners S17.

Today, September 9th, two miners were launched called S17e and T17e. The newer models are said to have improved features such as better performance, more stable performance and longer life. These features are expected to improve the profitability of mining hardware bitcoins.

Specifications for both miners were also provided by Bitmain. The S17e comes with a hash rate of 64 TH / s and a power draw of 45 J / TH, while the T17e has a hash rate of 53 TH / s and consumes 55 J / TH.

Both miners have a built-in two-pipe cooling system, which is said to dissipate heat more efficiently. This should also help to increase the overall service life of the equipment, as well as increase the stability of its operation.

In addition, Bitmain also claims that two new S17 integrated circuits implement higher cybersecurity standards designed to protect devices from malicious attacks.

The S17e and T17e are slated to be released in three installments over three consecutive days. The first batch is to take place on September 9 at 19:00 GMT + 8, with the first deliveries expected in the first 10 days of November. The second batch should be released at the same hour on September 10 and delivered between November 11 and November 20.

The third last batch should also be sold at the same time on 11 of September with a delivery period between 21 of November and 30 of November.

Giant maker ASIC plans to increase power by 50% over the next six months, relying on the purchase of 600 000 chips for mining.

Bitmain also announced that it will compensate customers who have delays in their S17 miner delivery order. Customers who do not receive their orders on time will receive Bitmain coupons for each day of delay. Coupons consist of a reward for each share of the mining pool and deductions from the electricity bill.
