The European Union has allocated more than 1 million euros for the regulation of the sphere of cryptocurrency

The European Organization for Securities and Markets (ESMA) has allocated € 1,1 million to monitor trends and regulate the cryptoindustry. This was included in the organ's work program for the 2019 year.

The document says that ESMA will monitor innovations and developments in the field of cryptocurrency and blockchain, identify and record risks that may arise as a result of interaction with new generation assets, and publish recommendations for market participants.

The body will also monitor compliance with the requirements set out in the EU Market and Financial Instruments Directive. They concern CFD and binary options sellers. The approved document approves a ban on the acquisition of CFD by retail investors.
