Crypto exchange Gemini announces support for EUR trading pairs and deposits

As part of its mission to expand its global presence, Gemini has announced new Bitcoin and Etherium trading pairs against the Euro (EUR).

On Wednesday October 28, Gemini, a cryptocurrency exchange founded by the Winklevoss twins, announced support for new trading pairs and euro deposits. The exchange noted that all of the listed cryptocurrencies will be available for purchase in euros. Also, the official post says:

“We now support the Euro (EUR) for deposits and trading on the Gemini platform! You can purchase all available cryptocurrencies for EUR in the mobile application and on the Internet using a debit card or a deposit in EUR at the bank via SWIFT or SEPA transfer. "

In addition, the exchange also launched ActiveTrader ™ for the Bitcoin and Ethereum trading pairs against the Euro (EUR) and Pound (GBP). Since its founding in 2014, Gemini has been expanding its presence in the market. Over the past few years, the exchange has added support for various digital currencies as well as other crypto services.

The exchange also noted that adding euro support and international expansion is part of the exchange's mission to empower people around the world. The NYSE exchange also supports other trading pairs such as the Hong Kong, Canadian, Australian and US dollar.

Gemini in the United Kingdom

Literally a month later, the Gemini cryptocurrency exchange also announced its launch in the UK. He also partnered with BCG to improve the UK payment system. The exchange is currently offering UK citizens a full service in Pounds Sterling (GBP). At the time, Gemini CEO Tyler Winklevoss said:

“The introduction of our full services available in sterling in the UK is another exciting step forward in Gemini’s international expansion, advancing our mission to empower people and organizations around the world with cryptocurrency.”

Gemini founders Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss rose to prominence as Bitcoin billionaires during the 2017 bull run. In 2015, the exchange received a regulatory license from one of the toughest regulators in the US, the New York City Department of Financial Services (NYDFS).

Given the recent hype around decentralized finance (DeFi), the Gemini crypto exchange recently added support for a range of DeFi tokens. Last month, Gemini announced support for 15 new DeFi tokens on the market. This includes some of the popular ones such as Uniswap (UNI) and Yearn. Finance (YFI).
