In Russia, will be engaged in the development of national mining pools

The Russian Association of Cryptoindustry and Blockchain (RAKIB) will develop domestic mining pools. Director of RACIB Arseniy Shcheltsin told about this to the Prime agency.

According to Shcheltsin, now in the Russian mining industry there are more than 400 thousand people and 70 thousand enterprises, the number of equipment involved is hundreds of thousands of machines. At the same time, most of them work for Asian or Western mining pools, which redistribute profits. Moreover, participation in a foreign pool means dependence on foreign companies, the head of the RACIB believes.

In this regard, the association plans to develop a network of national mining poolsthat will control the process cryptocurrency mining in the country and exclude foreign intermediaries, stressed Arseny Shcheltsin.

At the moment, RACIB is already involved in the creation of two mining pools. This is a joint project of association with the company “CryptoUnivers” and the national mining pool MineRussia. In both projects, the power of more than 3 thousands of machines is claimed. The association will support these and other projects, Scheltsin added.

"New pools are on the way. It is possible that during the experiments we will introduce the KYC system and the identification of miners. The global task is to collect a critical mass of Russian miners and to give an opportunity to all pools with which we cooperate, a competitive advantage, ”said the director of the RIBS.

In his opinion, the advantages of Russian pools will be quick access to the network through servers located in the Russian Federation, the absence of hidden fees and the low cost of electricity. In addition, Shcheltsin is sure that Russian pools will not take power Mining-machines for their purposes. According to him, up to 20% of the computing power of a machine can often disappear in foreign pools.

Recall that RACIB, registered in October 2017, recently created a “white list” of the crypto industry in order to minimize the risk of fraud.
